    Clay Works a Pottery Camp   

Ages 6 - 15

Art Instructor, Brooke Sims

What could be better? Potter's Wheels spinning, clay taking shape into bowls, vases, or cups, six children happily becoming potters. This class is all about turning, pinching, and sculpting clay. Each child will gain a better understanding of clay while making fun projects. Brooke will demonstrate & guide each to achieve success, advance turning/trimming skills, & will introduce well-known artists, & various glaze techniques. Each Clay Works a Pottery Camp will feature two days on the Potter's Wheel and two days of hand-building. It's always a fresh experience if your child would like to repeat the camp!

    Sculpture Camp

Ages 9 - 15

Art Instructor, Sarah Costic

Create a large clay sculpture of your favorite animal or pet. Artists will learn how to create an armature and drape clay over a newspaper form. Fine details and believable textures will be shared.  Finished pieces may be displayed in the corner of your home, porch, or tucked within a flower bed or landscaping.

    The Creative Garden       

Ages 7 - 15

Add an artistic touch to your outdoor space.  Make a Leaf Wall Pocket, design garden markers for an herb or flower garden, and layout a mosaic

stepping-stone.
