With My Own Hands, A special note, your child will make all of the artwork in the studio by them self . Their work will reflect their present stage of development. We value children's right to make their own decisions about the color, texture, and design placement within their art. With this in mind, each child will be encouraged to make thoughtful decisions and to enjoy working at a slow pace. Join us for a Young Artists class!
Young Artists will create handmade artwork from their hearts alongside our studio artists & family. Children will discover a world of art by learning about famous artists and the techniques they used to construct artwork. Curiosity & creativity is fostered in each child artist. Art vocabulary and a sense of independence will be encouraged as children participate in this ongoing age appropriate art program. Your child will work with a variety of art materials, including: Clay, tempera paint, oil pastel, & handmade paper. *Your child's safety is important to us. Please escort your child to & from the studio. Complete an emergency contact card. Notify a studio instructor of special medical concerns that will assist us while your child is enjoying a Young Artist Class or workshop. Pay in advance for four sessions but you do not need to attend all four sessions consecutively. Summer travel, illness, and other things pop up (sometimes unexpectedly) at this age level. We understand. We will keep a card on file for you and track your visits. You are welcome to add an additional artist or two if you have out of town guests and would like to share this special experience with family and friends.

Take one, 45 minute workshop at $15 or purchase a package of four workshops at $48. Workshops may be taken when it is convenient for your family schedule.

Check in with the studio to learn about our weekly project. Season's Greeting Tile Register with the Brecksville Mother's Club by November 7 Ages 2 - 6 with a caretaker Ten children participants per event Art Instructors, Sarah Costic & Nancy Kraig $10 per Season's Greeting Tile, Perfect for the gift giving season, make as many tiles as you wish. Children will press fall textures into a flattened piece of brown earthenware. Family's will work together to create & paint a holiday greeting. Proudly display your Season Greeting Tile to welcome family and friends throughout the Holiday Season. Play clothes are recommend for this potentially messy activity. |
